Flåm YH is a seasonal hostel, which is opened from the1st April till 31st October. The hostel is situated at the end of Norway's steepest train ride; the Flåm Railway and the Navvies' Road cycling track from Haugastøl via Finse (1,222 metre above sea level) to Vatnahalsen and then down the Flåm valley. Being situated at a narrow sidearm of the Sognefjord there are daily ferry and boat connections to a.o. Balestrand, Fjærland, Gudvangen and Bergen.
Also cabins (with and without bath) and cheaper rooms without bath available. Rooms and cabins without bath use showers in common washingblock. NOK 10,- Children under the age of 16 are unable to be accommodated in shared dormitories.

| Staff was super friendly and helpful. Knew lots about what to do in the surrounding area. Hostel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near the city center. The hostel had a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of common area for relaxing at the end of the day, and had free WiFi which is very nice. Only downsides: no breakfast and they charged for linens. Otherwise, this hostel was wonderful. | ||
