Our house, a protected historic infirmary dating back 700 years, has recently been refurbished and is now one of the most beautiful hostels in Europe.
Just 5 min from the Liechtenstein border, 30 min from “Heidi Country” and Lake Constance and surrounded by some of the best Austrian hiking areas and ski resorts ... appreciated by Ernest Hemingway... that’s Feldkirch for you! Even James Bond came to Feldkirch to shoot a film! The town itself has a lot to offer too: a well preserved medieval centre with narrow cobbled streets, towers, churches, cafés and bars, great for strolling and relaxing. Twice a week you can try regional delicacies in the market. Countless events attract locals and tourists alike: a Carnival parade, the “Vinoble“ wine fair, the medieval, wine, pool bar, juggler and Feldkirch festivals, “Art Design”, crafts fair, carol singing, the Christmas market... Feldkirch is the ideal base for hiking holidays or as a stopover. The pilgrims' route to Santiago de Compostela, the Via Alpina and the Austrian Central Alps long distance walk are close by. How about crossing the Rätikon Mountains? Or if that’s not challenging enough you can climb to the top of the Piz Buin, the highest Vorarlberg mountain (3312m)! In winter there is an abundance of ski areas within easy reach (30 min) – from the cosy, family-friendly Laternser Valley and Bregenz Forest areas to the ski arenas of St Anton, Lech, Zürs and Montafon/Silvretta.

| No locks on dorm rooms, just individual lockers inside. Also, no place to put belongings while in the shower. The shower is just a shower box with a door and NO hooks. My money was pinched from my wallet because I had to put my clothes on the bathroom counter next to the shower. However, bathrooms were very modern and very clean for a cool rustic hostel. The location is about 15 minute walk from town and the buses don't run very late - we were there on a Sunday night. | ||

| This is the worst youth hostel I have ever been. I stayed in a 3 sq. mt.
double-room. There was no way to breathe. Places like these should be
closed. | ||

| The best hostel I have ever stayed at. Very good location, amazingly helpful staff. Very clean, beds comfortable. Plenty of lockers available. Sheets included in price, towels and breakfast cost extra. Would absolutely recommend this hostel. | ||

| Very nice. Charming old building within a walking distance from the centre. Not very lively as is not the city neither. Would highly recommend staying here if looking for a budget accommodation while in town! | ||

| Due to my error in internet booking (in my rush I forgot to change current month of April, in the drop down menu, to June), the reservation needed to be changed via email and phone call with the hostel. The staff member was very efficient and friendly. | ||
