The hostel dates back to the 18th century and is situated in Fegen nature conservation area with wonderful views over lake Fegensjön. Only the grinding of the jetty posts and the diver birds’ echo break the silence.
Except for the nights when visaftnar (song evenings) and other cultural events take over the barn.
The hostel is newly renovated and decorated to offer a charming and restful stay. There are seven rooms and one large living room. Several rooms have fireplaces and tile stoves, which add to the tranquillity and provide warmth for the body and soul. Guests stay in double rooms with a shared toilet and shower in close proximity. Canoes and rowboats can be rented for peacefully exploring the lake.

| Opening times (daily/weekly): | We have a cafe adjacent to the hostel which is open during the season 11 - 18, where we offer home made bread and cakes, and delicious homemade light meals and salads. We are flexible in terms of time of arrival and departure. Accommodation after season by appointment. |
