The El Galope Farm Hostel - is a restful stopover in Colonia's countryside.
50 minutes away from Colonia city by bus on the way to Montevideo.
Excellent frequency inexpensive and comfortable buses either from Colonia or Montevideo.

| Bus: | FROM COLONIA If you take Buquebus or Colonia Express from Buenos Aires go to the Bus Terminal just outside Colonia's Port. Take Turil bus. Never take COT buses. It costs arround USD 4. Whichever bus you take (Buquebus, Colonia Express, COT or Turil) indicate you are getting of at Km 114,5 Ruta 1 (Entrance Balneario Santa Regina). It takes 50-minutes. When you have your ticket please call 00598 99105985 and let us know the time your bus leavs and we will pick you up to take you to El Galope free of charge. FROM MONTEVIDEO From Tres Cruces Bus terminal take TURIL bus to Km 114,5 Ruta 1 (Entrance Balneario Santa Regina)Never take COT buses When you have your ticket please call or send a sms to the 099105985 with the time you are leaving and we will pick you up at the bus Stop to take you to El Galope free of charge. |

| Quand nous avons lu les infos sur El Galope, nous avons sauté sur l'occasion! En voyage depuis 10 mois, on voulait se reposer dans un endroit chaleureux et accueillant!

El Galope est l'endroit rêvé! Monica & Miguel sont des gens formidables et ils mettent les petits plats dans les grands pour que vous vous sentiez chez vous! Entre ballades à cheval, excellents repas, vin délicieux, lecture au coin du feu ou dans les hamacs, partage d'experiences (ils en ont des histoires sympas...), sauna ou encore jeux avec les animaux de la maison...vous n'aurez plus jamais envie de partir!

| i had an excellent time at el galope. the owners, miguel and monica, are excellent hosts. they're really interesting people and make it a point to get to know you a bit. the property is beautiful, the facilities are immaculate, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. i would definitely recommend horse back riding with miguel and monica's fondue! this is a place you shouldn't miss while in uruguay!
