Kona Tau is located one block from the main avenue and has beautiful views of Hanga Roa and maunga terevaka.

Kona Tau has double bed rooms, single rooms, twin beds rooms, triple rooms and 4 bedded rooms. Each room has a private bathroom and hot water. Our service includes transfer from the aiport to the hostel and back, and we welcome all the guests at the airport with flower necklaces. In the hostel there is free 24 hours WiFi.

Kona Tau also provides its guests with the use of the kitchen the 24 hrs, parking and BBQ area.

Could do with an expanded lounge area. Diego was very helpful when my flight was delayed. Breakfast was good.

This was a very friendly and wonderful hostel - with one strange exception - no co-ed dorms. I was traveling with a male friend of mine and we couldn't even stay in the same room, so I was stuck banging on his door every morning to wake him up, and whenever we got back we ended up disturbing two rooms of people. :( Very behind the times and strange. The staff, however, is outstanding. Full of great advice!

Diego and his familly ovvn a a mittle paradise to meet nevv people to visit the island and very helpfull for anything you need during your stay. Kitchen available, open all time, and vvifi. I vvill definitly come back to Kona Tau !!!

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed at. The owners were so generous and treated the guests like part of the family. They had a BBQ and invited all the guests which is incredibility kind given that food is extremely expensive on the island. The hostel is also walking distance from everything in town. Kana Tau has to be the best hostel on the island.

Staying at the Hostelling International Kona Tau was great, pretty much because Jordi, the administrator, was very friendly and kind and always assured that I was having a great time at the Easter Island. The Island is a very expensive place to visit, so the price of the accommodations were according to what you get. They were comfy but not fancy. The kitchen is very small but had all the implements you'll need to cook. I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. I totally recommend this hostel to whoever is going with not a large budget.
