This large stone house stands on the green in a quiet, pretty village on both the Pennine Way and Cumbria Cycle Way. Approach Cross Fell or High Cup Nick from here, or take a ride from Appleby on the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway. It's perfectly situated for exploring the moorland of the North Pennines or the green valleys of the River Eden. The re-development project has been made possible thanks to substantial funding form the Cumbria Rural Development Programme and the European Regional Development Fund through their Rural Economic Development Zone fund.
