|Very nice hostel, in the middle of the countryside. We had a car, so did not feel too isolated. Good horse-riding lesson.|

|We had an amazing weekend stay at El Galope. The hostel is homely, clean and beautifully decorated. For a winter stay there is a cosy fire, a sauna and the rooms are heated at night. Monica and Miguel are lovely, friendly people and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. We had a beginner riding lesson with Miguel which as very enjoyable - he's a patient teacher who paced the lesson well to our needs and confidence level. The common room is a great place to relax by the fire, drink a glass of wine, chat to other guests or just read a book. The meals and wine are delicious. Don't hesitate, just stay here!|

|This place is awesome and I highly recommend it. The efficiency/comfort/cleanliness nicks are only because IT IS A FARM. Duh. Actually it is more of a ranchito (little ranch), but is is extremely nice and I will definitely go back, with friends or just by myself. And next time I'll stay longer (I was there two nights and two days).|

|Very Very relaxing and peacful.
The dogs are on the friendly side.
There were few options for dinner and what they offer is expensive - if you want to cook your own food you have to do it before 6pm which seems a bit odd. Breakfast was a little lacking but the meals cooked by the host were delicious.
They have good local knowledge about the surrounding area and of the rest of Uruguay, Argentina and beyond.|

|A great place to relax and understand the real life in Uruguay's interior. Miguel is an excellent host and teacher and he makes sure you have a great time. I have to say that it was through Miguel that I fell in love with horses. They are beautiful animals and one needs to connect with them. El Galope is a memorable place.|

|Very special Hostel experience. You feel rather on a farm than a hostel.
We went horse-riding for the first time of our life. It was the perfect place to learn. Calm horses and excellent instructions.
The owners made our stay a very special experience. Highly recommended.|
