Tours: walk to Eltz Castle from Karden or Moselkern, sightseeing in Trier (easy to reach by train) including amphitheatre, imperial thermal baths, cathedral, Constantine Basilica or Porta Nigra and several museums, Martberg archaeological park with a “time travel” to the Roman and Celtic era, boat tours on the River Moselle including lock passage. For cyclists: cycle tours on the excellent cycle lanes along the Moselle to Beilstein, Zell, Moselkern and Alken; for mountain bikers trips to the Hunsrück and Eifel Mountains are highly recommended.
