Cochabamba is home to the World People’s Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth, and the HI Hostel is located within an alternative community in the ecological nature reserve of Planeta de Luz. The hostel buildings are made from locally-sourced natural materials, and design-wise they capture the artistic, ethnic spirit of the community. Guests at this eco hostel can soak in the nearby thermal springs of Liriuni, learn about the indiginous plants and wildlife, or hike in the foothills of Tunari mountain.

Hostelling International Bolivia welcomes the first ECO-HI-Hostel: “PLANETA DE LUZ”, located half an hour from the city of Cochabamba. The hostel is one of the HI network of hostels in Bolivia and one of two hostels in Cochabamba. Be inspired and experience your hostel stay in this eco-friendly community

To get to know this eco-friendly hostel can be a very different and unforgettable experience because it is run by a community that has lived without private property for 20 years and is located in the middle of nature, near the thermal springs of Liriuni and at the foot of the main mountain, Tunari, in the very centre of Bolivia.

The architecture is eco-friendly and has an ethnic inspiration. We are in the middle of nearly 20 acres of nature. We do art, music, dance; we love life and the land; we have dreams; we are a hostel where everybody feels at home.

With us you can experience a life in a eco-friendly house, get up listening to birds singing, breathe fresh air and share with people from different countries that participate in our eco-friendly community. They come to enjoy a break in their great travels around the Andes. In this hostel you can get futher various therapies such as anti-stress massage reflexology (foot - head massage), music therapy.
