YHA Rolleston House has reopened with new energy and enthusiasm; much like its city home.
YHA Christchurch Rolleston House is a character home which has been converted into a comfortable hostel located opposite the Canterbury Museum, The Botanical Gardens and Hagley Park. Stroll along the willow-lined Avon River or enjoy Hagley Park’s acres of green parkland. The hostel provides late night entry for prebookings arriving on late flights and buses. Other facilities include a lock-up area for cycles and a domestic travel booking service. For train reservations, a courtesy service operates twice each morning from the hostel to the rail depot
Rolleston House is a beautiful historic building. Most bedrooms are located on the first floor with all communal facilities (kitchen, lounge, dining and bathrooms) located on the ground floor.

| The staff and christchurch rolleston are really great. On our two vists there the staff were really helpful.
1. when I was unable to operate the locker the staff went out of the way and really helped me.
2. when I had a problem with my transfer to airport. The staff took great care to ensure that I was booked properly and also cancelled the booking etc and really helped me out.
I appreciate the coffee & sugar being provided by the hostel. The Quality of the instant coffee was excellent.

| The edges of the kitchen knives are dull.
I hope you improve the shower baths.For example where to put a soap, where to put cloths, cannot lock the door of the shower bath.

| Great hostel. Good to see YHA back in that city, that we all hope will rise like a phoenix from the ashes of that terrible earthquake. | ||
