Located less than 1km from all historical monuments in the city center, the Youth Hostel is located at the intersection of two channels, 200 meters from the Cathedral of St. Etienne and the beautiful surroundings of Jards.
In a quiet, relaxing environment, it offers a pleasant stay for backpackers passing through.
A rich and varied heritage! > Religious heritage: Saint-Etienne cathedral, UNESCO world heritage listed Notre-Dame-en-Vaux collegiate church (Santiago's routes). > Authentic: half-timbered houses, with a distinctive Champagne look (a mix of brick and limestone). > Natural heritage: the river Marne and its tributaries, the bridges and the city centre's "Jards" (gardens). > Cultural heritage: many festivals - music, circus and street arts. La Comète, a national theatre, fights for diversity with more than 40 different shows every year. 4 museums: the Fine Arts and Archaeology Museum, the Sewing machines Museum, the Jules Garinet Museum, and the Notre-Dame-en-Vaux Cloister Museum. - Wander along the river Marne, the river Mau and the river Nau. Almost 4 km of high banks have been laid out for walking. In order to fulfil your curiosity, special signs have been posted along the path, giving information about the river's history and its wildlife. - Take a punt on the Mau and the Nau, and discover Châlons-en-Champagne's historic heart. This visit is also available at night (even better!). - Audio-guide visits: historic city centre and Notre-Dame-en-Vaux collegiate church.
