Customer Reviews Casablanca

| Everything was adequate, but no more than adequate. Wi-fi was weak and unreliable. Rooms and bath were cold, bathroom had an unpleasant smell and no toilet paper for the one flush toilet (there was a squat toilet as well.). Water pressure was very low--just a trickle--and there appeared to be no hot water. On the positive side, the hostel was close to train and bus stations, and easy to find. It was quiet as well, as I appeared to be the only guest in the hostel. It was okay as a place to crash, but not a place to stay for long, especially as other nicer hostels can be found for less money. | ||

| The staff were lovely and very friendly (the main staff all spoke English well), showers were hot, breakfast was good, everything was clean and hygienic. A wonderful hostel, we really enjoyed our stay there. | ||

| Great place for a great place. My room had a lock on it so security was great! Many people complained about the manager, but I enjoyed some chats with him in English so I didn't have any problems. On the contrary he offer me some tips and taught me some Derija (Moroccan Arabic dialect). Room was clean, wifi not working, good breakfast. Overall great experience! | ||

| Some people wrote in their reviews that the manager is not nice. My first impression was the same, but it is not at all like that. He is willing to answer to all the questions you might have; offered me to drink tea and watch TV with him; escorted me towards the bus station. The fact that they close the hostel during the day is just a positive thing, since this way you actually spend time outside discovering the city. Travelling to Africa means bringing your own toilet paper with you, so take care about that and do not write afterwards that they do not have any in the hostel. Breakfast is simple, but enough for the start of the day. Overall a very good value for money if you are not demanding and expecting Africa to be Western world :) | ||

| Arrived late and was checked in. Wanted to go out but was told that there was a 00:00 curfew. (Is this mentioned?)
To be honest, a member of staff was very helpful and friendly but a shame not to be able to go out on our last night in Morocco.
In family room? with a double bed and single and en-suite. Bedding didn't feel the cleanest and smelt slightly damp but no real complaints. Breakfast was simple but fine.
For the price, can't complain much. | ||
