| Ian has a very dour sense of humour which we really enjoyed. This is the best hostel anyone in our party has ever stayed at. More like a private home than a hostel.Absolutely spotless. We even had freshly laid eggs for breakfast for free. WOW! Hostel is a bit off the beaten track, but then the wildlife is superb. Red squirrels and greater spotted woodpeckers feasting from the birdtable could be watched from the lounge room window. | ||

| We liked the fact that the staff were concerned when it was late and we still hadn't returned from our walk. We liked the encouragement to recycle, and the fresh eggs and herbs available for our use. A map of the location/directions on the website would have been useful. The security is good because nobody can work the lock without being taught! | ||

| We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can wholly recommend this hostel. Great kitchen facilities, except that there was only one cooker, and a great location. A home from home. | ||
