| We ended up only using the Backpack as a place to hold our bags for the night while we went out and partied, but that was part of the appeal! We knew we could get back when we needed to because the location was so prime. I think it would be a great place to stay; I wish we had more time to enjoy it! | ||

| A lovely well run hostel, staff were really pleasant and helpful, good facilities and friendly atmosphere. My only criticism is that it was a bit noisy when I was there, both from the bar and from the road nois. | ||

| I was hesitant of my stay in Cape Town as it was meant to be dangerous, the hostels get broken into, you need a car etc etc. My holiday and stay at The Backpack is full of wonderful memories. From the minute I arrive to the day I left I had a great time, no security issues and the people were just beautiful. I cannot recommend to go to SA enough and to stay The Backpack. The pool is gorgous, the bar is well stocked, excursions are good value and it has a great vibe. | ||
