Ashanti Lodge and Travel Centre is stylishly housed by an Afro-Victorian mansion, complete with a pool and more spacious balconies, palm-fringed sundecks and the best mountain views that you could possibly hope for.
Set in chilled parkland, but within walking distance of the city centre, we offer all accommodation options, including private rooms with en suite bathrooms in our Guest House around the corner. Cater for yourselves in our stylishly renovated well-equipped kitchen, or fill up on delicious food (and cocktails) at our legendary sociable Kumasi Bar. Ashanti Lodge is a relaxed, more-ish comfort zone, known for its outstanding security, friendly staff and our buzzing, on-the-case Travel Centre, who'll sort out any activities required, including overland safaris.

| It was amazing. We saw other places with better reviews but liked the location of the Ashanti, but this was easily the best place we stayed at in Cape Town. | ||

| My stay at the Ashanti was really great! The staff was super friendly and helpful! When we showed up, we were starving and the receptionist didn't hesitate to tell us all the nearby restaurants and where we could get the best dinner. (There's an award-winning steakhouse right down the street that you just can't miss)! They were more than accommodating and held our luggage for us after we checked out so we could explore the city without having to lug our cumbersome bags along with us. The beds were clean and comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. I would definitely stay here again! | ||

| Desk staff were exceptionally helpful.Sitting out on the terrace for breakfast with the table mountain as a back drop and to see squirrels in the tress was magic.Having a tourist bureau and a money exchange and also a very good cafe for breakfast and evening snacks and drinks at the hostel an added bonus. | ||

| Good, large hostel with in-house bar & entertainment as well as being close to the museums and Long Street. Some issues with the internet conncetion, but the staff were helpful in getting it resolved. Great backdrop of Table Mountain too. | ||
