The lounge room was extremely cold since either the air conditioning was turned on, the heating was turned off or not available at all.

Overnight staff (lady with short hair) was amazingly helpful in finding us the right train and wakeup call at 430am. Thank you!

Great staff - J at night was so helpful when we arrived late, hungry and ready for bed - great directions to yummy takeaways, all other information given with a smile. Well run hostel George and to the chefs - great breakfast and especially loved the yoghurt.

For anyone who has a car it is most unsutiable because of the cost of parking

The rules about when I can use the kitchen seem unreasonable; the cost of using the internet are way too high; the security arrangements for personal property are not very good; the shower temperature was often too cold. While the nightly charge is very attractive, it seems like the plan is to nickel and dime guests with fees for things that are free in other places. Also, I'd be happier to see funds spent on reducing fees and increasing comfort, rather than given to charities.

I stay here every year prior to the Cambridge Folk Festival. This is an excellent hostel in a very nice area. No complaints at all. Just odd that reception staff tell people that they are fully booked, yet half the beds in my dorm were unoccupied.

Three lockers; six in the room. But locked downstairs and tothe kitchen a s o. Between the railway station and Cambridge centre. :-) A little funny with the stairs going up and then down two or three stairs to the level where to go. Helped opening up the door on the second floor, when people were leaving with luggage, unless it is sometaimes not so easy to go through it, if you get a big luggage. Good selfpreparing kitchen.

We enjoyed our stay in Cambridge and the youth hostel was especially well located for people on foot! We would stay again!
