An attractive victorian stone mansion and coach house, the hostel is set in 40 acres of woodland in magical Snowdonia. The location is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and pony trekking. Local attractions range from the waterfalls of Aberglaslyn Pass to Sygun Copper Mine and the unspoilt Llyn Peninsula. The hostel has capacity for 73 guests. Our facilities include kitchen, dining room and licensed bar. A full catering service operates, including breakfast, evening meals and picnic lunches. Evening meal is available from 18.00 to 19.30hrs, with main courses starting at £4.80.

Very difficult to find, there is no clear direction on the road for the turnoff once you get into Caernarfon, and there were hardly anyone on the street to ask for help at 6 p.m. Please consider putting up a few YHA signs prominantly at strategic locations in the the major towns leading into the area, because not everyone comes from Wales, England or Scotland and unfamiliar with the place, nor be able to decipher the various Welsh place names in a quick second whilst trying to navigate in a car..... I found the hostel just before dark (9 p.m.)- it was raining, I had to park up the track away from the hostel as instructed by the sign at the entrance, and lug all my belongings to the hostel, soaking wet as I entered....! BETTER PARKING ARRANGEMENTS PERHAPS!?
