An ideal base for exploring the Isle of Skye. Plenty to do for touring visitors and walkers alike including the famous Cuillin mountain range, (just 15 miles away), Pinnacles of the Quiraing, low level coastal walks and boat trips. | Sorry to give such a bad feedback, but Broadford has definitly been the worst Hostel I have been in so far in the UK, and this opinion has also been echoed from other travellers I met. In a dorm where Aberdeen puts 4, Broadford put 6. The beds have been the shortest I have ever been in - they are shorter than in the other hostels and were too short even for me (1,63m). The washing machines and tumblers were nearly every time full with the stuff from the hostel, so what use are they? The furniture is antique (just regaring the age, not the value), the beds did not have a security railing and there was no stair to climb into the upper beds, only a chair to hop up there.
Sorry, if that was hostelling standard I would never stay in a hostel again.
The personnel was really friendly and helpful, but this cure the basic problems of that place. I will go back to Skye but NEVER again to Broadford. | ||
