YHA Brecon is surrounded by a grassy playing areas and mature trees, making it a perfect place to relax on a sunny afternoon. We are situated a few miles from the historic market town of Brecon with its narrow medieval streets and 12th century cathedral, with pony trekking nearby and canoeing, sailing and boating available on Llangorse Lake just 4 miles away. Why not experience the Brecon Mountain Railway, or a boat trip on the Brecon canal?
Here at Brecon youth hostel we pride ourselves on our excellent quality meals, locally sourced ingredients and organic wines and beers. We offer flexible services, all day access and a late night entry code. Education packages are available for groups, and we are open all year round. The hostel offers excellent accommodation with a number of private family rooms, some with en suite facilities and 24 hour access via a door code system.

| lovely hostel and setting; great staff, self catering, dining room and lounge facilities all very good. hard to find at night and we went into the neighbouring farm as we went past the hostel and their farm name is the same 0 and little sign impossible to see at night. very good hostel in most beautiful setting | ||

| the only annoying thing was the fire alarm which went off randomly couple of times in the middle of the night but I guess it's good to be cautious. very friendly people, so helpful and I really like the recommended hiking route that one of the guys there explained to us. definitely would go there again! | ||
