The Downtown backpackers hostel in Bratislava offers a great friendly atmosphere in an historical building. Located in the heart of the old town centre, just a few minutes walk to most historical sights, clubs, bars, moreover only a 10 minutes walk from the main railway station. The hostel is connected with a cool bar and restaurant where you can enjoy local specialties and delicious beer for good price. Every Tuesday we offer live music where you can dance the night away.
The staff is very nice and always willing to help you with all your requirements 24/7. What is special about the hostel is that every room has its own design (Warhol room, Klimt room..). We have a stylish common room with satellite plasma TV, radio, all different kinds of games and old piano prepared just for you and your friends. There is a beautiful garden where you can chill out with other guests.
We offer: Fresh breakfast (8 different kinds) and daily lunch menu (not included in price). A fully equipped guest kitchen is also available for those who like to make their own food. We offer a number of complementary services such as: Wi-Fi, laundry (dryers and washing machine), towels and padlocks (at request), bed linen & sheets, lockers in room, luggage room and city guides/maps. If your looking to explore Bratislava on two wheels, bikes are available for rental.
We offer 10% discount for groups – 10% discount with a HI card – 5 % discount for our Facebook fans. It is not possible to combine these discounts. Discounts are only for rack rates NOTICE: The local city tax of 1,65 EUR/person/night is not included in the price. Students under 26 with valid student ID, youth under 18, disabled and elderly over 70 are excluded from the liability.

| Good that it was a bar and restaurant in the first floor. With very good prices. On of our sheets was dirty. Nice kitchen area. One of the best hostels we visited. | ||

| The hostel is beautiful. Great location, 1 min. from old town. They were very polite and offered all help needed...explained all about the city on a free map and even he recommended nice clubs and spots for sightseeing. Nice rooms and special style in a historical building. I would really recommend this place for a cheap place to stay in Bratislava. | ||

| Ultimately, a very good bang for the buck. I had a semi-private room, thankfully. I suspect my experience would have been less positive in the 8 person bunk att'd to my room; it had no exterior windows and got very stuffy during a very hot week. Also, avoid the breakfast. Hostel entrance is shared with a downstairs bar/restaurant and I did not think security was terribly consistent. Staff was courteous & helpful and the on-site bike rental is a great option. Good location as well. | ||
