Hostel Mara is located in an excellent location right in the middle of the old city centre of Brasov, you can visit all the historical monuments, art galleries, museums.
Lot's of open roof restaurants in the season, and the best pub's, restaurants and fast foods in the city.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. You can travel to Bran Castle, or Poiana Brasov or Sighisoara or Predeal, Sinaia, you can visit the Monastries, etc.
Customers may cancel their bookings free of charge anytime up to 48 hours prior to arrival and in the event that clients no-show without cancellation, or cancel their booking within the cancellation period, the owner may charge them for the first night’s stay.

| The hostel was closed due to owner illness. However, I contacted her and she came in (from her sickbed) to help me. Due to the closure, she offered me a better room at a nearby rooming house and she paid the extra charge. She was extremely helpful in getting me settled, making sure I was oriented in the city and finding me a good place to eat. Although I didn't stay at the hostel itself, I would go back there anytime for that level of personal service. | ||

| This hostel is one of the best Ive ever stayed in. The friendliness and warm of Angi and Titus (the owners) goes beyond the expected of the hospitality business and into the realm of family. Ive enjoyed my stay so much i extend my visit by over a week. If you want a home away from home, in a beautiful town at the foot hills of the Transylvania mountains, i highly recommend this hostel. I'm coming back and am bring all my friends!! | ||

| There is a problem to located the place. I was in front of the entrance but there is no sign, you have to go inside the number go through an alley and at the end you see the place with the sign there not outside on the street. You have to call to tell her the exact time of your arrival because she there is nobody there to assist you. She will wait for you give you the key, info, etc. I had to wait there almost an hour after somebody called for me because I could not find a phone to use coins. It was raining and was a nightmare until she finally arrived and was very friendly and helpful. | ||

| Most of the time the staff (one women) is not at home, the recepcion is offen clossed. The mobile-number of the staff is very important for this case. | ||

| The staff(Angi)was really nice person, friendly, helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable.
But one thing, when I got in town around hostel, it was hard to fine the place. There is no sign, I asked some people, but almost all of them don't know. If you stay there, you have to tell her arrival time and ask her phone number.
The room rate was perfect.Very nice location. | ||
