In 2008 Bochum youth hostel has undergone extensive refurbishing work and reopened in January 2009. The hostel is an ideal base for excursions throughout the whole Ruhr area. We cater for individual travellers, groups and families. The hostel offers a lively, international atmosphere but also conference and seminar areas.
“Bermudadreieck“ (Bermuda Triangle) hostel has a capacity for 201 people in 69 rooms (single, double, dorms). We also have three 29 m² luxury rooms. Our Family rooms have two single beds and a bunk bed. For disabled people we have two accessible rooms with large bathroom and direct access to the lift. All conference rooms, the dining room and the reception are also accessible.
The hostel offers six conference rooms with state of the art technology for 12 to 55 people.
The hostel is open 24 hrs. Check-in from 13.00 hrs, check-out until 09.30 hrs.
Please note: Reservations are valid until 18.00 hrs on the arrival day. Please contact the hostel in advance for later arrivals.

| Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in diesem Hostel, auch wenn ich erkrankt war. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit Personal. WLAN könnte verbessert werden.
Very helpful and considerate staff. WLAN (WiFi) could benefit from an upgrade. Would be nice if the 308 shower door would open outwards, rather than inwards. | ||

| We stayed in the Bochum HI Hostel, for 5 nights as part of our trip for Essen Spiel, which is about 20km away and easily reachable by local train.
The location was great, right in the heart of Bochum, very close to shops, restaurants and bars and a short walk to the Essen main train station.
And also the cafeteria in the hostel was a very good place to play our newly acquired boardgames, although the house rules prohibited the consumption of outside food and drinks (so no snacks or cola for example). But regardless, the hostel had beer available at a reasonable rate but also an expensive coffee (fancy one :)
All in all though, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and I would highly recommend this location to others. | ||
