We have a capacity for 121 people in single, 2- and 4-bedded rooms, all with en suite shower/WC. Nice lobby with reception, dining room, bistro, café/bar, snack area, children’s play area…
For general and music courses or workshops we have 5 common and meeting rooms for 12 to 60 people that can be combined to a hall for 110 people. Facilities include projectors, big screen, pin board, flipchart, lectern, Metaplan board, presentation equipment, TV, DVD player, VCR, CD player, sound system, Internet (DSL), WiFi-Hotspot, piano and conference service (printer, photocopier, fax, transparency printer). Leisure facilities inside include board games and Internet terminal; outside there is table tennis, a barbecue area and a children’s playground.
Family rates: Children up to the age of 2 free of charge, children 3 -14 years of age 50 % reduction on total price. Group rates: For groups of 20 persons or more and a minimum stay of 2 nights including full board 2 persons free of charge. Nursery schools €2.00 reduction per person per night. Full board and other catering options available. We welcome families, schools, training courses and workshops, music groups and choirs, holiday, cycling and walking groups as well as individual travellers.
We also have wheelchair accessible rooms.
The Middle Rhine Valley around the Loreley Rock is without doubt the most beautiful stretch of the river. A UNESCO world heritage site nestled in between Rhine Valley and Nahe Valley, the picturesque town of Bingen is the gate to this amazing landscape. Bingen has many faces – historical attractions like Klopp Castle and the famous “Mäuseturm” (Mouse Tower) but also pedestrian areas for a nice stroll along a wide selection of shops.
Sports and leisure: Rheinwelle Leisure Pool, Bingen/Ingelheim, sports centre, tennis courts, Bingerbrück nature experience pool close-by, Rheinböllen Game Park, walks along the castles of the Rhine Valley. Attractions: history museum „am Strom – Hildegard von Bingen“, Klopp Castle with its lookout, Basilica, St Rochus Chapel, Drusus Bridge and Bridge Chapel, ancient crane and Rheinauen Nature Reserve. Tours: Idar-Oberstein with Weiherschleife agate mill, German Gem Museum, Idar-Oberstein Museum, show mine Steinkaulenberg and rock church, visits of the historic copper mine and smelting works in Fischbach and Herrstein, historical centre of Herrstein, Eltz Castle (including trip through the Hunsrück Mountains to the River Moselle and the Eifel Mountains, short walk to the castle, journey back to Bingen along Moselle and Rhine), Rüdesheim with Hunting Lodge, Niederwald Monument, Mechanical Music Cabinet, Drosselgasse, Brömserburg Museum of Viticulture, Loreley and St Goar (boat trip down the Rhine along Loreley Rock to St Goar, visit of Rheinfels Castle), spa gardens, Roman mosaic and bridge houses in Bad Kreuznach, sightseeing in Mainz including Gutenberg Museum, Roman-Germanic Museum, cathedral and St Stephen’s Church with its stained glass window designed by Chagall, Frankfurt with its Zoo, Palm Gardens, Senckenberg Museum, Airport etc., Bad Sobernheim with its barefoot path and open air museum. For cyclists there are very good cycle paths along the Rhine in the direction of Mainz ort he Loreley Valley, Nahe cycle track to Bad Kreuznach and towards the Rheingau, via Rüdesheim and Eltville to Wiesbaden.

| Location: | The modern youth hostel is located on a slope inside Bingen Forest overlooking the town and the Rhine Valley. |
| Rail: | Bingen/Rhein Hauptbahnhhof/central station (Bingerbrück), from there 10 min walk to the hostel. Bingen am Rhein train station (Stadtmitte/town centre), then Bus #5 (Mon-Sat every hour) to bus stop “Prinzenkopfstraße”, from there 300 m walk to the hostel. A coach can approach up to 200 m below the hostel. |
