the hostel had no record of my booking via your website. Consequently I had to pay the full amount to stay there, rather than just the balance after the deposit I paid to you

Accueil très très moyen, on est arrivée a 21h, complétement crevés après une très longue journée de voyage et en arrivant on nous a demandé de poireauter 20 min! On a du se faire entendre pour avoir accès à la chambre et pouvoir enfin se poser! Et a 23h, alors qu'on était couchés et presque endormis, la nana frappe à la porte et nous fait un cake pour qu'on paie immédiatement! N'ayant pas eu le temps de faire changer nos euros, elle nous confisquera nos passeports, comme des malpropres... merci les copains! (rares sont les polonais ayant l’accueil chaleureux dans le sang...)

unfortunately, eventhough i arrived at the hostel with my booking reference, i was informed that my booking had not been received ! there was a school group occupying all the rooms ! so, i had paid a small charge to hihostels.com to make a booking which was wasted money. of course, if hihostels wish to refund this 'fee' they charge for a service which obviously did not work on this occasion, i would be grateful - however, i assume they will simply keep the money. we did get a look around the kitchen/common room and bathroom facilities on the ground floor. under the circumstances, i would not recommend that anyone attempts to stay at this hostel, nor waste their money making a booking through hihostels.com. very sad. on the plus side : simple rooms at the pks noclegi near the bus station are available from friendly receptionists at a comparable cost :)
