We have a capacity for 96 people in single, 2- and 4-bedded rooms and dorms. Some single and 2-bedded rooms for group leaders have a washbasin. Dining room, bistro, café/bar, snack area, children’s play area…
For general and music courses or workshops we have 3 common and meeting rooms for 12 to 50 people. Facilities include TV and Video, projectors, pin boards, flipchart and piano. Leisure facilities inside include board games; outside there is a playing field for ball games, volley bal land basket ball, table tennis, barbecue area, sandpit, forest and the ruin of Landshut Castle (2 min).
Family rates: Children up to the age of 2 free of charge, children 3 -14 years of age 50 % reduction on total price. Group rates: For groups of 20 persons or more and a minimum stay of 2 nights including full board 2 persons free of charge. Nursery schools 2 € reduction per person per night. Full board and other catering options available. We welcome families, schools, training courses and workshops, music groups and choirs, holiday, cycling and walking groups as well as individual travellers.
Nestled between the peaks of the Hunsrück and Eifel Mountains, the town of Bernkastel-Kues offers an impressive heritage: the famous ancient market place with its townhouses, the late Renaissance town hall, the precious little “Spitzhäuschen” and all the other houses with their ornate wood carvings, weathervanes and painted beams. All year round there are many art exhibitions, concerts, theatre and folklore events Towering above the medieval town is the colossal ruin of Landshut Castle and in Kues by the river Moselle you’ll find the old St Nikolas Hospital. With its cloister and Gothic chapel it’s one of the most beautiful religious buildings of the Trier region.
Sports and leisure: Outdoor and indoor swimming pool, forest trail, winery trail, tennis, various sports grounds, bike rental, horse riding, skating track, crazy golf, fishing, walks, boat trips on the River Moselle. Attractions: Medieval market square in Bernkastel-Kues, Cusanusstift, wineries, local history museum, art galleries, Zeltingen Moselle barrage, every Thursday free sightseeing, Vinothek, Christmas market. Tours: Sightseeing in Trier with visits of amphitheatre, imperial thermal baths, basilica, cathedral, market square, Porta Nigra and various museums, Idar-Oberstein with its historic agate mill, Idar-Oberstein Museum, German Gem Museum, Rock Church, Steinkaulenberg show mines and Fischbach copper mine, walk through the vineyard hills to Traben-Trarbach (narrow Moselle loop), return by boat, tour round the Eifel Mountains with visit of Brockscheid bell foundry, Himmerod Monastery and the Eifel crater lakes at Daun, trip to Luxemburg via Echternach and back through “Luxemburg’s Switzerland”, boat trips on the Moselle. For cyclists: bike rental, Fun Bike Team, cycle paths along both sides of the Moselle.
