Reception desk is open from 9:00 am to 12:00 am and from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, 16 May - 15 September, and from 9:00 to 12:00 am and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm the rest of the year.
YH 2 km's walk from the train station. Bike rental available at the Y.H. or in Relais, 500 m from the train station.

Beaugency, the “princess of the Loire”, is a charming medieval town 90 minutes from Paris and 30 minutes from ‘Chambord, Blois and Orleans. Attractions include the Tour César, a keep from the 11th century and its legendary bridge. Château Dunois (Tel: 02 38 44 55 23) was built by Dunois, Joan of Arc’s armourer. Walkers can also discover the Abbey of Notre-Dame dating back to 12th century, the Tour St Firmin, the Renaissance townhall with its magnificent collection of tapestries, the clock tower Church of Saint Etienne, one of the oldest Romanesque churches in the Loire Valley which was restored and made into a cultural centre. Beaugency is proud to be in the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

| Availability of utensils and pans etc in the kitchen was very limited. It was a pity to see that what had gone was not repaires. The building was not well kept. For instance the painting of the window sills, the wall painting was coming off. | ||

you can rent a bicycle at the hostel but I thought 13 Euro a day was expensive.

| We were mildly disappointed that the promised breakfast seemed to be non-existant as we could not find food or coffee anywhere in Beaugency on Sunday morning. The wifi was not working, either. | ||
