| I can't comment on staff or service as I had no personal interaction with them. I found the beds comfortable and the duvets nice and warm although I found the room in general very cold throughout the night - pretty much down to being in a stone building with single glazed windows - not much can be done to help that. | ||

| loved this hostel, the annexe, the lounge self catering and dining room areas and the staff were very knowledgable and approachable. Close to town, going downhill anyway and bus stop right outside coming back. Sat Nav reference took us to North Road above hostel but Bathwick Hill easy to find. parking on street fine. | ||

| Some small lighting on the way up from the street might be good for people coming back at night. | ||

| In the lounge the tv did nt work. There was a 3 pound charge per night for non memebers who book on line but your only made aware of this on arrival. had great 5 nights and days at Bathwick hill, and bath. We made full use of self catering kitchen which is brilliant, could do with second microwave. | ||

| it would be very nice not to have mixed bathrooms, did not like that at all as well as the fact that those were the worse showers I have experienced so far (variation of the hot&cold water, almost burn myself a few times, very small space) I have experienced and not enough for the amount of people that needed to use them apart from the fact that there were only two showers working and one did not have a lock in the door. The 6 female dorms should have more than 1 garbage basket the the top beds are really hard to jump to. | ||

| Our arrival in early Sept. was delayed by roadworks - it took 1 hour to negotiate the diversions through after-school traffic! Everything we needed was available, including internet access and laundry facilities. The long walk up the hill at the end of a busy day was a slight disadvantage, but it meant that the YH was in a quiet residential area. | ||

| The evening meals offered by Bath YHA were delicious, especially the pate with crusty bread, goat cheese and relish! | ||

| We were in the UK for 1 month. We visited four hostels and returned to this hostel after staying there earlier. Our experience was positive, except for 2 events. At check in, we were charged £45 extra. The staff were pleasant and agreed they erred, but it took till the next day to correct. We ended up being out some £ due to conversion & credit charges, but would have lost more had we not pressed. The other issue was internet. When we first arrived in London/UK, we bought 7 days for £9. During our first stop in Bath we purchased 3 days for £15. Upon our return to Bath, we purchased more time and were given 7 days for £9. When I questioned staff why this was, she indicated we 'got lucky' to get the week. We believe the policy in this hostel is very different from elsewhere in the UK. We would return again to this hostel as it's a wonderful city and a great setting. We would suggest you check they are charging correct amounts and look into internet costs closely. | ||

| The Hostel is situated half way up a vry long steep hill, which wouldn't have been a problem if i hadn't already cycled 50 mls to get there, apart from that the location is great, just a 10min walk into the city centre. | ||
