Ideal Youth Hostel is located just in the city centre of Barcelona, very near the well-known "Les Rambles" and next to the Gran Teatro del Liceo Theatre. It is a medium-size capacity hostel, with dormitories that have balconies. The hostel is opened 24hrs and is located in Ciutat Vella neighbourhood, the most lively cultural and leisure area of Barcelona. Our friendly multilingual reception staff will do their best to make you feel comfortable. If you like, they will help you with your travel enquiries and also recommend you on what to see & do or where to go out in Barcelona.
Ideal Youth Hostel mainly offer dorm accommodation. Dorm rooms featuring personal key card access range from 2 to 12 people in a room, with or without bathroom, mixed or single sex. With the bed you get a private locker for your belongings (just remember to bring your own padlock to close it!) and the services of breakfast and internet included. If you do not bring your sleeping bag you will be able to rent bed linen & towels at the hostel for low cost.

| This place was great. You could tell the catalonians went out of their way to show us Latin hospitality, and I have never seen so much friendliness from a hostel stag before. The room was great, the lockers worked fine, and they made sure my visit was amicable. | ||

| The location was very good: in the middle of the La Rambla (opposite of the McDonalds). The matrass of the bed was a little old, but I could sleep very well.
The bathroom was the less part of the hostel, the shower was just big enough to stand, it was either not possible to pick up something of the ground while you standing in the shower. If there is a renovation coming, please upgrade that part. For the rest the shower was good to handle. | ||

| Breakfast was disgusting and a very small amount. There was a cockroach in our apartment. We only had one cooker in our apartment and it didn't work. The kitchens in other apartments were more equipped and had more (and working) cookers. The location, right on the rambla, was amazing. | ||
