Ideal Youth Hostel is located just in the city centre of Barcelona, very near the well-known "Les Rambles" and next to the Gran Teatro del Liceo Theatre. It is a medium-size capacity hostel, with dormitories that have balconies. The hostel is opened 24hrs and is located in Ciutat Vella neighbourhood, the most lively cultural and leisure area of Barcelona. Our friendly multilingual reception staff will do their best to make you feel comfortable. If you like, they will help you with your travel enquiries and also recommend you on what to see & do or where to go out in Barcelona.
Ideal Youth Hostel mainly offer dorm accommodation. Dorm rooms featuring personal key card access range from 2 to 12 people in a room, with or without bathroom, mixed or single sex. With the bed you get a private locker for your belongings (just remember to bring your own padlock to close it!) and the services of breakfast and internet included. If you do not bring your sleeping bag you will be able to rent bed linen & towels at the hostel for low cost.

| They charge for everything (sheets, internet, etc), the breakfast is a flavorless muffin and a slice of burnt toast, the place is a shithole, the showers are in pairs, the doors don't have locks, the beds are shitty, and other people in the same room as me got charged differently for the exact same amenities. I would never go here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. | ||

| It feels quite secluded. The worst part was to find out there were blood sucking bugs in the bed. Really bad!!! I got bed bug bites big time.

| One member of the staff (woman) was very nice and always tried to solve the problems. On the other hand a man named BADIR was terrible! I stayed in a COED room and the men were very strange, I felt very uncorfotable and wanted to change my room at 2am because I couldn't sleep, the men were smoking marjuana inside the room and were behaving in a weird manner. BADIR told me there was nothing he could do, buut the nice woman from the reception helped me the next day. | ||
