HI Siam Classic is the lastest of ten HI hostels in Bangkok. The hostel, which is located right in central Bangkok city and is a short distance from all areas of interest, is modern, clean and comfortable.
Siam Classic is a classic designed hostel located in the true center area of Bangkok. We are just opposite to the Central Railway Station (Hua Lamphong train station). We are the closest HI's hostel to the subway station (Metro) where the Sky-train Interchange ( Silom ) is 2 stations away, and another 6 stations to get to the Airport Rail Link.
Many tourist's attraction places are just in a walking distant such as river piers for shuttle boats, famous department stores, most visited Mall "MBK Center", roadside dining places, China Town and so on.
Locating in front of the Central Railway Station makes your staying with us so convinient. You will have full access to all kinds of domestic transportations. Moreover, you can plan your upcountry's trip by catching trains to all parts of Thailand, e.g. Ayutthaya, Chiengmai, Krabi-Phuket-Samui/Suratthani, Nongkhai and to the border of Laos, Aran Prathet and to the border of Cambodia, Hat Yai and to the border of Malaysia.
*** Important *** private bathrooms only available in air-conditioned rooms

Customer Reviews Bangkok - HI Siam Classic

| The hostel is rather stylish and more like a small boutique hotel. It feels a bit like living in one of those highend design magazines. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but okay. The hostel is centrally located. The train station, metro station, and the river are within easy reach. | ||

| Walk-in guesthouse with a cosy touch (although the walls are extremely thin). Next to the MRT-station across from Hualampung trainstation (go 300 m eastwards into a small backstreet). Plain asianised Western breakfast of two toasts with an egg (a IH standard ;-).

| The ambiance and accommodation are both very good and impressive, includes the friendliness of all staffs. The only thing that I found out annoying me during the night for sleeping was a loud noises of neighbourhood, wondering that they all spent all over the night for chit and chat. | ||

| When I was first driven into the back street where this hotel is I thought OMG what am I doing here, but that quickly changed, as the owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was airconditioned with ensuite as booked, small but fine, but the bed was the hardest I have ever slept on. You have to take your shoes off on entry which is no problem. They offered 5% discount for hostellers not 10% as stated IH website. It was an enjoyable stay. Thanks. | ||

| Close to the station but not easy to find!!
Jailhouse matress and no sheets etc. Dirty sheets on beds when we arrived and had to argue to get them changed. Fan made the room hotter and it was very noisy outside. | ||
