Family rates: Children up to 2 yrs free of charge; children 3 to 14 yrs 50% reduction on total price. Groups: for groups of 20 persons or more when booking minimum 2 nights with full board 2 persons free of charge. Nursery schools 2 € reduction per person per night. Full board and a variety of catering options available. We welcome families, schools, training courses, conferences, choirs and music groups, holiday, cycling and hiking groups as well as individual travellers.
Surrounded by vineyards and forests, nestled between the rivers Rhine, Moselle and Saar, the Nahe Valley is one of the most beautiful German regions, a fascinating, varied landscape with bizarre steep rocks, extended forests und beautiful streams, home to an extraordinarily diverse flora and fauna, in the south-eastern foothills of the Hunsrück Mountains. In the heart of this landscape you’ll find the old spa town of Bad Kreuznach with its medieval bridge houses photographed and painted again and again by travellers from around the world. On a walk through town you’ll discover many fascinating building, e. g. in the Old Town, named “Little Venice” due to its picturesque architecture. Visits to the Schlossparkmuseum and the Roman Hall with their mosaics and relics bring back the town’s 400 years of Roman history. There are many sports and leisure facilities: heated outdoor swimming pool, indoor swimming pool, thermal salt water spa, sauna area, golf, crazy golf, tennis courts, fitness trail, high rope course, pedalo and rowing on Nahe River, Salinental Sports and Leisure Park etc. Attractions: spa gardens, graduation houses in Salinental (“salt works valley”), Nahe wineries, Schlosspark Museum, PUK puppet theatre, excavation site at Roman Hall, visit of spa town Bad Münster am Stein, day hiking trips to Rotenfels Rock, Rheingrafenstein Rock in Bad Münster am Stein and Altenbaumburg Castle in Altenbamberg. Day trips: Sightseeing in Mainz including visits of the cathedral and Gutenberg Museum; sightseeing in Frankfurt including Palm Garden, museums and airport; sightseeing in Idar-Oberstein including visits to “Weiherschleife” agate mills, Gem Museum, Rock Church, Steinkaulenberg gem mines and Fischbach copper mines; sightseeing in Bad Sobernheim including Open Air Museum of Rhineland-Palatinate, Niederhausen mercury mines, barefoot trail; “Romantic Middle Rhine” boat trip to Loreley Rock; sightseeing in Bingen and Rüdesheim including visits to the History Museum (main subject is visionary Hildegard von Bingen) and museum of mechanical musical instruments as well as stroll along the famous Drosselgasse in Rüdesheim. Cycling along the excellent Nahe cycling path via Bad Münster a. St. and Bad Sobernheim to Idar-Oberstein or to Bingen and Mainz; most trains will take bikes on.
