We have a capacity for 117 people in single, twin and 4-bedded rooms, all with en suite shower/WC. Out facilities include 2 dining rooms, bistro, café-bar and children’s playroom. We have 3 common and conference rooms for training courses, workshops and music courses with a capacity for 16 to 60 people that can be combined to one room for 100 people. Equipment includes data, slide and overhead projectors, big screen, pin board, flipchart, blackboard, presentation material, TV, DVD player, DVD recorder, VCR, computer screen, sound system with CD player, piano and conference service (printer, photocopier, fax, transparency printer, also in colour).
Leisure facilities inside include board games, Internet terminal, table tennis, pinball machine, table football, pool billiard and darts, outside there is a playing field for ball games, a children’s playground and a barbecue hut.
Family rates: Children up to 2 yrs free of charge; children 3 to 14 yrs 50% reduction on total price. Groups: for groups of 20 persons or more when booking minimum 2 nights with full board 2 persons free of charge. Nursery schools 2 € reduction per person per night. Full board and a variety of catering options available. We welcome families, schools, training courses, conferences, choirs and music groups, holiday, cycling and hiking groups as well as individual travellers.
One of the most beautiful German spa towns with a long tradition, Bad Ems is situated at the heart of a nature reserve on the banks of the idyllic Lahn River. Magnificent old building bear witness to the town’s grand past. Since Roman times (remains of the old Roman border can still be found) until the end of WW II there were silver and lead mines in Bad Ems. Activities and facilities include large outdoor and indoor swimming pools, the spa gardens, various lookouts and many trips: tours of the Kannebäckerland with its potteries and museums, trips along the Lahn River to famous places such as Weilburg, Limburg, Diez, Nassau etc. and of course boat trips on the river itself. Also worth mentioning are the forests of the Taunus Mountains and the Middle Rhine Valley between Koblenz and Bingen. Bad Ems is an ideal base for outdoor activities such as cycling, canoeing and hiking along sign-posted footpaths. Sports and leisure: Ems thermal spa with outdoor swimming pool, outdoor chess, golf, crazy golf, horse riding, boat trips, bike, boat and canoe rentals, Gackenbach Game and Leisure Park (summer toboggan run), skateboard and rollerblade area on Silberau Island, walks around Bad Ems, fitness path, tennis … Attractions: Bismarck monument at Bismarckhöhe, Benedetti Stone opposite the assembly rooms, Russian orthodox church, Limes (Roman border), Mainzer Haus, water and source museum, Roman watchtower, “Haus zu den vier Türmen” (Four Tower House), Balmoral Castle, Mining Museum, Spa and Town Museum, Brunnenhalle (spring water hall)… Day trips: romantic Middle Rhine with Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, visit of Deutsches Eck, boat trip on the Rhine to Braubach, visit of Marksburg Castle, sightseeing in Koblenz, Kannebäckerland with visits to potteries and pottery museum in Höhr-Grenzhausen, boat trip on the Lahn, trips along the Lahn to Wetzlar, Limburg, Diez etc. Cycling: Lahn Valley cycle path towards Diez, Limburg or Weilburg or to Lahnstein in the Rhine Valley; bike rental in town.
