The landscape around the only river dam in North Germany with its skerries, heath land, woods and fens is reminiscent of Sweden in midsummer. This farming area between the towns of Cloppenburg and Friesoythe provides many opportunities to relax, for hiking and cycling and of course beach fun along the Thülsfeld Dam.
