The Hostel is located in a medieval fortress ( XIV century ) in the heart of the city, where you can find little squares, arcades and pictoresque alleys. A famous painter lived there : the celebrated 16th century painter Antonio Allegri, known as " Correggio". The town has preserved much of the evocative atmospheres and settings from its rich and prestigious past. Do not miss the splendid Palazzo of the Princes, the town's main Renaissance building and symbol of the golden age of the Da Corregio family's rule. Today it is the headquarter of town cultural institutions and houses significant art collections including paintings ( Mantegna, Correggio, Mattia Preti and others ), sculpture, weapons and antique furniture.
Every summer, a festival of etnic music called " Mundis" takes place in the city, attracting many people. Many rock concerts are also organised during the year.
A very good starting point to visit beautiful cities such as Parma, Reggio Emilia, Bologna situated close to Correggio.

| Location: | To get there by car, arriving from Milan (A1 motorway) take the exit to Reggio Emilia and then follow the signs for Correggio and in Correggio follow the signs for City Centre. From A22 motorway take the exit to Carpi and then follow the signs for Correggio and in Correggio follow the signs for City Centre. |
| Rail: | 8 Km Carpi Railway station. In front of the railway station take the bus for Correggio that will take to an hundreds meters from the Hostel in Correggio. |
| Airport: | about 60 Km from Bologna airport and about 40 km from Parma airport. Ryanair flights in both airports. |
