Athens International Youth Hostel is located in a quiet residential spot and is one of the most well known hostels in Athens, with the reputation of being the most value for money hostel you could choose. The hostel is just 5 minutes walk from Omonia Square where you will find all the markets and traditional Greek items, and just 3 stops away on the metro from old Athens.
The hostel offers all rooms with private bathrooms, communal area with TV, laundry service, luggage storage, safety deposit, FREE internet.** “It is very near to the metro station, with lots of shops and nice places around it, very secure and safe area, very nice and caring and flexible staff, it feels like being at home.”

| The best part about this hostel is the free internet services. Overall not worth it. It's in the seediest part of town, policemen stopped me on the way to and from the hostel a few times to tell me not to be here "This is not a safe place".
The electricity in the room was unreliable. Therefore the light for the bathroom and the A/C only worked on occasion. | ||
