I was utterly disgusted with this hostel and its lack of cleanliness. Regarding security - this was absolutely atrocious. Not to mention the multitude of prostitutes around the hotel was absolutely revolting. The fact that we even paid EUR40 for 1 night there was pathetic. Never stay in this place!!!

Decent enough place to stay. There is a lot of street noise (motobikes, cars, horns, people walking and talking all hours of the night) so bring earplugs. Not sure if they have rooms off the main road or not -- if so request one! Clean. Good shower. Small rooms and very simple. They keep the halls fairly dark, I assume to save power. Not sure if this is typical in Athens or not since this was my first stay there. I was a single woman traveling alone and felt safe. Richard, one of the proprietors, was particularly helpful with taxi's, ferries, where to go, etc.

Hostel overall was good, clean, air conditioning worked, staff was friendly and helpful, easy access from metro station. Location of the hostel is in the avoidable part of town (sketchy), also since it is in downtown it was rather noisy.

The proprietor and staff at Hotel Lozanni were extremely helpful in showing us how to get around in Athens and even to the Greek islands. The rooms are very inexpensive and clean, and there is complimentary internet service which is great.

Welcoming staff are helpful and will answer any questions you have about navigating Athens. Extremely affordable hotel is located centrally and near to Metro enabling you to get to various destinations. Keeping with the budget theme, many inexpensive eateries as well as grocery stores are within a few blocks of Lozanni. If you are a budget traveler (or even if you just want a centrally located hotel room), this is a fantastic deal!

This Hostel is located in a suburb that sounds like "Ammonia" not sure how you spell it - I was there a year ago. The area is dirty, seedy and as a female travelling on my own I did not feel safe outside of the hostel after dark. No breakfast was included, you had to find something local. The advertised bar was non existant or not operating. I woke one morning to find that there were about a dozen people sleeping outside of my room on the floor! Had to step over them to get to the stairs. The lock on the door was dodgy. I would not stay there again. There were druggies hanging around the streets and out of it on the footpath day and night. they were probably prostitutes as well but more fool anyone who took advantage of their services. No powerpoints in the rooms. Had to charge batteries outside room in un airconditioned area and would have to wait until they had charged so no one stole them. No lockers in room either.

Comments about the location are somewhat exaggerated; the area is pretty fine, especially during the day, though we never went out later than nine in the evening, it is also quite centrally located, making it easy to travel all around Athens.. The rooms are nice, the air conditioning is lovely; though the showers either had lights that went out or had no locks. Also, there was never any toilet paper. Breakfast was a slice of bread and container of jam, and they wouldn't give seconds. Overall, not a bad value, and certainly better than other hostels we've stayed at.

This is a nice little hostel I would recommend that you ask them for the remote for the air-con and that you bring a pair of ear plugs and an eye mask- you will need it. The traffic flow is endless. Location is good- 5 minute walk to catch the sight seeing bus and to the Hondos Centre on Omonia Sqaure
