Roberto and his staff look forward to welcoming you at the Arica hostel, one of the HI network of hostels in Chile, which is located 2km away from the city center of Arica. Make the most of your trip - with outdoor BBQs, paragliding, surfing and paintballing - you'll never be short of things to do! The laid-back hostel hosts late breakfasts, kitchen facilities, a common room, a ping-pong table and hammocks for relaxing days! Hostel rooms include mini-refrigerators, TVs and private bathrooms.

Daily Room Cleaning service. We also offer not scheduled Buffet breakfast (up to 12:00! - ALL U CAN EAT-If you arrive in the morning: free breakfast as well!! -), no curfew, a cozy and colourful patio with a brand new Pool Table. Flexible check out.

About the location? We are not in town but is plenty of shared taxies going down to town (10 minutes aprox), 5 minutes by taxi from the bus station away from city center in the middle of a typical neighbourhood, usefull to know the real Chile. Free Bicycles and there is a new Supermarket a couple of blocks away..

Would not recommend this hostel. We arrived early & were shown an empty room where we could put our bags down until breakfast supposedly at 9am. No sign of life at 9.30 had to wake owner /staff kitchen filthy. Bar area filthy food scraps & bottles from night before left laying around. Some of the graffiti which covered most of the walls was distasteful. This hostel was our 2nd HI hostel in South America & it has put us off HI hostels here. When we did wake up staff they did organize a taxi to go elsewhere promptly.

The owner and manager are very friendly however, the hostel was so dirty. The kitchen was discusting and had a rat under the sink and the bedrooms did not get cleaned well. It was hygienically a disappointment.
