Cervera is the largest municipality in the province, 325 square km. A former commercial centre and route to the current Cantabria. Located in the north centre of Palencia province, where the Rivers Pisuerga and Rivera meet. About 100 km from the cities of Palencia, Burgos, León and Santander.
The municipality consists of 24 villages with Cervera as the capital and about 3,000 inhabitants.

The main feature to define the municipality area of Cervera de Pisuerga is its mountainous character. It is located in the north of Palencia province, about 100 km from the province capital, in the central area of the "Palencian Mountain". It is part of the southern slope of the Cantabria Mountain Range, representing the highest area after Picos de Europa.
