Alvados Youth Hostel is a new building providing 48 beds in eight twin en-suite rooms (one suitable for wheelchair users) and eight four-bedded rooms. This hostel, which opened its doors for business on 9th of February 2007, offers several additional services, such as self catering kitchen and laundry facilities, common room, lockers and parking facilities. Alvados Youth Hostel lies in the heart of the Natural Park of Aire and Candeeiros Mountains, close to Mira de Aire, Alvados and Santo António grottoes, thus an ideal setting for experience outdoor activities such as adventure sports, climbing, trekking, orienteering and even caving!! But this is not all! There are lagoons and loads of tracks for bike riding or walking!
Therefore, this hostel is classified as a specialist in “Nature and Adventure” breaks, offering a friendly and relaxing stay for those who seek tranquillity and nature. These are all without doubt good reasons for you to come over for a visit!

| Best of all the Portugal hostels we stayed at. Breakfast was slightly skimpy, but hey not bad for the value: toast, cereal, yogurt, milk, butter, jam, slice of ham, slice of cheese, coffee, tea, juice - OK! Beds and rooms were comfy and clean. The view from the rooms outside were lovely with big windows and even our own balcony! Nice. Bathrooms were super clean and showers were hot and with good pressure. However, there was no internet, but there was a small self-catering kitchen that was acceptable. Parking was free and secure. The location of this hostel is in the sticks, but if you're a nature lover or just want to get away from the city, this is THE PERFECT STAY. Do it, you'll be pleased. We were. Ps. You'll need a car. I cannot imagine getting here by bus, maybe bicycle. | ||
