Hostel Details

Altenberg, a traditional mining town with its landmark hollow (a collapsed mine), is situated in the east of the Erzgebirge mountain range, 760 m above sea level. The hostel is located 200m from the town’s outskirts in a wooded area. Close by there are an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, a summer toboggan run, a bobsleigh run, a ski lift and cross-country tracks.

People of 27 years or over pay a surcharge of €3 per night.

Surcharge for single and twin rooms p. p. p. n. (subject to availability): Single: €10 Twin: €4 (doesn’t apply to group guides);

Rebate for children: Up to 2 years free of charge, 3 – 13 years 30% rebate;

Group rebate: For a group of 20 paying customers another one totally free (accommodation, sheets and meals at the YH).

Bus:	A 17 to exit Dresden-Südvorstadt, then B 170 via Dippoldiswalde to Altenberg.
Rail:	Train to Dresden, then S-Bahn train via Heidenau to Altenberg (400m walk to YH) or local bus via Dippoldiswalde to Altenberg.
