Explore the South Downs National Park on two wheels or two legs. This characterful 16th century Sussex flint house with a Tudor beamed lounge is located just a mile from pretty Alfriston. It's a good base for walkers, cyclists and visitors to nearby coastal attractions.
Alfriston hostel is set in a large garden overlooking the Cuckmere Valley, it's an ideal base for exploring the area’s many attractions. Brighton and Eastbourne are nearby, as are many historic sites and Drusilla’s Zoo Park. Alfriston is perfect for family days out. The South Downs Way is 400 metres away. Complete the day with a tasty meal in our fully-licensed restaurant.

a Period Building with nice feautures and lots of space in and outside.The staff were very friendly and helpful and had a nice welcome for guests.
Good to see that YHA-E&W keep these Hostels open to members which is great to be able to explore the beautiful countryside of Sussex | ||

| Staff friendly, but often quite slow and inefficient. Some seemed inexperienced about basic hostel systems and services like dinner bookings and internet services.
Dinner was not fantastic and overpriced.
No security lockers provided.
Nice location, large, green outdoor space very much a plus. Reasonably priced. | ||
