Hostel Details

Nestled in the hilly wooded landscape of the Gieselau stream valley, 4km from the Kiel Canal and 30km from the North Sea, the climatic health resort of Albersdorf is one of the most popular destinations in the district of Dithmarschen. The health resort has a lido with a gigantic 75m slide, very popular with our customers. If you’re interested in archaeology you’ll find many stone age and bronze age sites. The Albersdorf Centre for Archaeology and Ecology is located on the edge of the village. Hew flint stone and learn to use bow and arrow in this Neolithic environment!

Albersdorf YH is a rather small hostel on the edge of the district of Dithmarschen. We proud ourselves in our personal service which is particularly popular with school classes and individual travellers. Close by there are megalithic tombs and other prehistoric sites. The hostel offers a variety of Stone Age programmes and our visitors can look forward to a fascinating time travel.

Directions

Location:	The youth hostel is located in the town centre, close to the gardens with the open-air stage. From the main road the hostel can be accessed via a small cul-de-sac.
Rail:	Albersdorf is on the Büsum-Neumünster route.
