We enjoyed the hostel as a rest after our trek down the West Coast, and as a great view to the mountains.

It was so far from the town centre in comparison to other hostels and up a big hill and was also not that easy to find. The bunk beds were so shaky it felt unsafe to turn over! None in the room I was in had a proper ladder on them which made them pretty unsafe to get onto and off. Not one of the better ones in the HI circuit.

I'm very grateful to Alejandra. She provided exceptional service, and was always pleasant even when stressed. But the building is decrepit, with two of the toilets in the men's room not functioning, and the sinks not working well. The showers were OK. Not all the lockers in the rooms have working latches. The rooms' door locks are hard to use. The location is about a 15-20 minutes' walk to the center; quite manageable.

very very nice for the price and very friendly staff. Altough, there are no safe to put the passport and money in security
