The hostel is situated 300 mt from Pomposa Abbey ( l’Abbazia di Pomposa) which is no doubt the most renowned monument of the area. It’s structure dates back to the VIIth - IXth centuries inclusive and it had been extended until after the year one thousand. This monastic complex is located on an island in river waters, where it has welcomed popes and emperors amidst the frescos and antique stones which is so characteristic of it. In the past The Benedictine Abbey of Pomposa has been an important center of intense cultural, economic religious and political activity.
