Customer Reviews Aberdeen SYHA

| the hostel is waaaaay expensive and doesnt include: wi-fi, desktop with internet, breakfast, laundry or anything else you can think about. with that money i stayed in a more comfortable hostel for 3 nights in edinburgh. during the night, the best bed in my room had a sign saying "reserved". nobody slept there that night!! the bathrooms are dirty and small. its 30 minutes walking from the city centre!! terrible experience. as this is the only hostel in aberdeen, the satff feels free to put the price that it wants. please do not go there. you can find guests houses that can be cheaper and more confortable, but at least in the city centre. if you dont find guests house in aberdeen, please spend just one day there. ah also is cheaper to rent a car and sleep in the car then spend a night in this average hostel that charges the same price as a 3 stars hotel in my country. i repeat: DO NOT GO THERE | ||

| It was nice but very cold. The only really warm room was the quiet room. Also, the shower switched between scalding hot and freezing cold with only two seconds at a comfortable temperature. Was okay overall though. | ||

| 30 to 45 min by walk from the center (Belmont street) where u can go grab a pint a beer, take bite a burger or a good haggis course...
Security is very good as the main entrance does only open with your keys (magnetic cards)
No personnal bathroom or toilets but the dorms are very clean and you get your individual linen clean also that u put on top of the actuel linen on the bed...
A bit expansive though comared to other stuff in Scotland... | ||

| It was a very wonderful visit and I much loved the atmosphere in the hostel. It was warm and cozy in the living room by the fire and many interesting people to meet and chat too. Really enjoyed my holiday in Aberdean. | ||

| This is a great hostell once you are there - there are no signs for getting there and so after a lot of asking it is found. All facilities are great and staff lovely. | ||
