Customer Reviews Paris - Jules Ferry

| I already experienced the Hi hostel service in Brazil (Bonito - MS), which was much better than Hi hostel Paris-Jules Ferry in quality of service (friendly staff), facilities and security. And the internet was free. | ||

| I would feel safer if the front desk asked for the ID of the guests when they ask for the key of the room since it felt like anyone can come in for the key. | ||

| It is a good location and near the metro station! However, the wifi is not free for visitor! That is not good! | ||

| The building is in a very poor condition e.g. Water running down interior shower and toilet walls in cold weather. Paint peeling off walls. Too few toilets and not sex segregated. No security lockers. One key per room is unsatisfactory. I do not consider this building to be up to the basic standard needed for a Hi hostel. I suggest an inspection and review of it's suitability for continuance as a hostel. | ||

| I thought I'd give my two cents here. I only stayed here because it was last minute and l'Argentan couldn't host me for my whole stay. People aren't exaggerating, this place is atrocious. One key per room is totally ridiculous, especially since the guy I was sharing a room with, who would pee in the sink every morning, would lock me out every night. The only slight advantage to this place is it's fairly close to the centre, but actually harder to get there as the metro is a few blocks away. The bathrooms are little more than thin dividers between the shower and toilet, and are mixed gender. Very awkward. The stairs are quite steep, and no elevator. Having said all this though, I did a thorough search through my room and didn't find any bugs, though it looked like it should've been a paradise. All in all, unless you're really desperate, stay away!! | ||

| A quick comparison between your options in Paris shows why you should never have to settle for this hostel: at Airbnb you often get a room to yourself, breakfast lunch and dinner, local company, free WiFi, the ABILITY TO SECURE YOUR POSSESSIONS, your own key to the room that not anybody off the street could get from the front desk, not to mention the fact you can stay in your room all day.
All that for the same price as Jules Ferry where you get none of those features. You have to leave your room for cleaning everyday from 10 - 2, no WiFi, no security, apparently shitty food according to other users, etc. | ||

| Very basic, not much of a good vibe, hardly anyone aroundever | ||

| The bathrooms and showers were damp and musty. I was very uncomfortable using them. Also, there was one key per room (not magnetic door cards). I felt uncomfortable either being alone in the room and going to sleep with an unlocked door or leaving my belongings unlocked. The lockers in the rooms were not very useful but you could pay for a usable locker downstairs - I didn't want to have to go downstairs to get my belongings every time I needed something. Also, they should up the fee by a Euro and provide wifi - the way Internet access is currently offered is not user friendly. | ||

| Our room was small but nice. The breakfast wasn't very good, but at least it was included. My main complaint is the state of the bathrooms... they were really gross. The showers were hot and cold on and off, and the back of the toilet leaked. The bathroom floors were also not very nice.. If you're looking for a budget place to stay in Paris though, and don't mind putting up with some slightly dirty conditions, this hostel is a good option. | ||

| No free wi fi. No free lockers. Had to pay 2€ every time wanted to open my locker. Bathrooms appalling. One key per dorm. At least there was hot water. I picked this hostel because it was HI and thus a I thought a quality stay but I was wrong. | ||
