Überlingen is located on the beautiful northern bank of Lake Constance, opposite the Isle of Mainau, and boasts Germany’s longest beach promenade.
Ice cream parlours, restaurants, palm trees, buskers, the peaks of the Alps beyond the lake… Überlingen offers three bathing beaches, a spa with sauna, golf, crazy golf and tennis as well as all sorts of water sports. There are 270 km of bicycle tracks in the area. Stroll along Germany’s longest lake promenade in the sunshine, take a boat trip on Lake Constance or make a day trip to Austria or Switzerland, tours to the stilt houses in Unteruhldingen, beautiful Mainau Island, Meersburg, the Marienschlucht Gorge and the Teufelstisch Rock, to the Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen or the “Affenberg” monkey reserve in Salem… You’ll never get bored in Überlingen!
The youth hostel is situated on the eastern edge of town, only 100m from the lake with wonderful lake views.
