The smallest major city in the world, Århus is the second-largest city in Denmark; a centre of culture with countless museums and galleries. The University City of Århus also has 6 different theatres, a concert hall and a large conference centre. The Jazz Festival is held in July every year, followed in September by the "Århus Week" - one of the biggest cultural events in Scandinavia. Beaches are found both north and south of the city, surrounded by forests which are hundreds of years old. Please check hostel for low-season prices.

I found the breakfast very expensive, too much to be a hostel.

If there are some road sign to show the way to hostel, it will be better for the guest. Also, please add more description about the nearby forest, it will be more attractive.

Friendly suggestion to put the streetlights just in front of the windows out during the night. Our room was full of light.

Leaflet advertised Wi-fi, but it was only if you sat near the reception, and then it wasn't working when I tried it.

We were very fortunate to find someone in the office when we arrived around midday after we had taken a taxi there from the station. This was not apparent at booking that no-one would be there between noon and 4 pm. This needs to be stated somewhere clearly. The surrounding forest was delightful for a walk.

Difficult to get to because of the road changes downtown. Would be good to recommmend approaching from around the outskirts of town.

We didn't find anything of the HI spirit here. Things seemed to be rather geared to making money rather than catering for a budget friendly traveling experience. The rooms are rather small and dark, the sanitary is dated, there are no cupboard for leaving your luggage. The hostelkitchen is equipped well and clean but too small and no view to the outside. The prices are already high (even to danish standard) on top you pay an extra fee of 2,3% when paying with any foreign card (even if it is not a credit card !). There is no free internet.
