| the hostel is very nice and the buildings are much nicer than most hostels i have been to. the host was very nice and helpful. only real downside is the 1.6km walk to town. not a big deal unless you have unwieldy luggage in the cold rain. if you come in on the bus be ready to request the stop at the hostel, i wasn't paying attention and ended up at the train station, the 1.6km walk again. | ||

| It is very comfortable if you visit in Geiranger first. There are markets which open until late night around the hostel(It takes only 5-6 min. by foot).
Well, sentrum(it means downtown in Norsk) is a little bit far, but it was great for me=) | ||

| The lady at reception was especially helpful when my partner had forgotten to bring her contact lens solution on holiday. She offered her own bottle which was virtually unused at no cost. The breakfast was also of a good quality for the price. | ||

| Plenty of outdoors activities in Alesund, i had a fantastic stay for 4 nights doing some day walks, caving (organised tour) and a day trip to Alesund. hostel out of town (20 mins walk) so not very convenient if you are not driving. Well set up hostel. Small kitchen and lounge room however was never too busy. Would stay here again. Plenty of supermarkets on the walk between town and the hostel- just make sure you have taken the Norwegian opening hours into consideration! If you like the outdoors, this is a gem of a place, not much to do otherwise! | ||
