In the middle of the Småland forests and Carl Linnaeus' home is located hostel in Älmhult. From Älmhult is not far to Råshult, the place where Linnaeus(Linné) was born.
Råshult is today a cultural reserve and here you can experience authentic 1700s environment with plots and herb gardens. A walk around the delightful gardens, were cut back as that time approaches, is a pure pleasure. There is also a museum and an ecological garden cafe.
The hostel is located right on the lake and here you'll stay in two-, three-or four-bed rooms. Toilet and shower in the corridor and into a nearby building is a communal kitchen. On the porch, take a picnic and enjoy the wonderful view over the lake. The hostel owned by a large camping site and there are canoes and boats to rent for a trip on the lake.
